Lyng, maxxis round 3

The sun was out and the track was in fine shape as always. After changing a few things with the bike during the week, i was a bit more confident lettin things hang out on the 1 fast lap needed in qualifying. 10th after the 15min session ment i had to do it all again in super pole- the clocks are reset and you have 1 flying lap for the fastest 12 riders from the first qualifying session……. 10th again!

Race1 – mid pack on the first lap i knew there was work to do, the track at lyng gets pretty rough making things very technical. I felt great for the whole race and really strong at the end. I passed a heep of riders, Ben Townley being the next rider- with only 0.5 seconds between us at the flag….. 8th position.

Race2- similar to the first race i left myself with lots of work to do, a strong ride into 9th place with 8th in sight, entering the last lap things were looking good. That was untill a back marker decided to join the race… i got held up  and consequently lost a place finishing in 10th position. I didnt think it was possible but i definately think steam was coming out of my ears. ha

Race3 – Starts were my weak point all day and the 3rd race being no different, i think turning that anger into motivation helped me stay strong to the very end. another 10th place finish but only 1 second seperating 8th-10th.

A good day at the office, 7th overall on the day and a jump upto 11th place in the championship. Looking forward to round 4 at milton park 1st may!
